Walter P. Laufenberg has devoted the majority of his thirty plus years of practice to the courtroom where he has tried over one-hundred cases, both civil and criminal, before a jury. Most recently he attained an acquittal on behalf of his client who was indicted for vehicular homicide. Mr. Laufenberg’s trial experience makes him a venerable advocate as well as a seasoned professional able to navigate the litigation process to the best advantage of his client.

After graduating from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice, minor in Psychology and receiving certification honors in Criminology Michael attended law school at Widener University School of Law graduating in 2006 where he received honored recognition in the school’s extensive trial advocacy program.
Following law school Michael had the privilege of serving a judicial clerkship with The Honorable Glenn A. Grant who at the time served as the Presiding Judge in the Family Division of Essex County, New Jersey, Superior Court and now the Administrative Director of the New Jersey Courts.
Michael has been with the Law offices of Gold, Albanese, Barletti & Locascio L.L.C. since completion of his judicial clerkship in 2007 where he spearheads its Workers’ Compensation department advocating for people hurt in the course of their employment. Michael also specializes in all personal injury matters representing injured clients hurt in motor vehicle, slip and fall, dog bites and products liability accidents.
Besides assisting clients who have suffered injuries Michael handles contract, Municipal Court and Appellate Court matters along with exclusively handling all of the firm’s estate planning and matrimonial cases.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey Association of Justice, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Monmouth Bar Association where he serves on the Workers’ Compensation Committee.
When he is not working Michael enjoys spending time with his family, dogs, landscaping and sports. He is also an avid runner and competes in various events throughout the state.
