Judge Locascio, board certified by the Supreme Court of N.J. as both a civil and criminal trial attorney, retired from the New Jersey Superior Court after sitting in the Civil, Criminal and Family Divisions for a total of 17 years. In the Civil Division, he tried or settled every type of case, including personal injury, negligence, breach of contract, employment, discrimination, consumer fraud, condemnation, assault & battery, corporate and commercial disputes, construction site accidents, medical and legal malpractice. In the Family Division he settled numerous cases involving alimony, child support, custody & visitation, equitable distribution, retirement income, re-locations and domestic violence.
He authored approximately 40 judicial opinions (involving civil, criminal and family issues) , 20 of which have been published . Since retiring, he has published approximately 25 Op. Ed. articles in the New Jersey Law Journal (involving civil, criminal, and family issues), has lectured for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the Inns of Court.
Heading up the Gold Albanese and Barletti Dispute Resolution Department, Judge Locascio has an unsurpassed record of settling over 90 % of cases mediated and rendering most arbitration decisions immediately upon conclusion of the arbitration. Because of his extensive experience, he has been retained by both plaintiff and defense attorneys to mediate and/or arbitrate civil and family law matters.
